Last week of the Term! Yippeee - holidays!

Learning about magnets is fun, especially when we can catch the fish we made. Fun hand-eye co-ordination activities keep us entertained.

Watch out ESKOM!! We learnt about electricity in class and at the Itemba laboratory.

MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm

Magic Milk. We also learnt about
surface tension. The washing-up liquid breaks the surface tension, as the milk moves the colours run into one another.
WOW

It’s WATER WEEK at school this week. We learn about liquids. Do all liquids mix together?  We find out that oil does not dissolve in water. We paint pictures with oil for fun.

Building jumping bugs was lots of fun too.

The workshop leader at the Itemba laboratory show us how to make our bugs move.

This was lots of fun. we even had to tie knots!

We copied some of the experiments back at school. We learnt that “practise makes perfect” and “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again!”
We also found out that it is good to be able to laugh at ourselves.
Blowing up balloons is quite difficult!

Experimenting with sound.

Mm for MONSTER
Watch this space!

We made a foaming monster. We mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda and it made a gas.

Making monsters from boxes is also fun.
