Mother Earth
We sing; "He's got the whole world in his hands, he's got the whole world in his hands ................"
We dig holes in the garden for our experiment. We bury some fruit peels, a plastic canister and a tin can.
When we come back to school after the holidays we will dig them up to see what has happened.
Recycling old boxes is fun. We have to plan carefully and make sure that the structures don't fall over.
We recycle old tins to make a Father's Day gift.
We recycle plastic bottles to make bird feeders.
It is really hard work cutting plastic and punching holes.
We spent time discussing bird feeders and decided that they must:
- be able to hang in a tree.
- be pretty to make the birds want to come to them.
- be able to hold seeds or food for the birds.
- have a place for the bird to sit.
Some children even added toys to their bird feeders.
Michael made a slide for the birds.
We practise writing 'p' on the carpet.
Mrs. Webber is very imPressed with Aidans 'p'.
