Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! We watched a story called
Pappa please get the moon for me, by Eric Carle
Alyssa and Harriet could recall all the important facts about the story.
Look at their lovely play dough pictures!

Luke and Jenna hard at work! We are recycling egg boxes to make new paper.
Busy hands.

Squishy squashy hands.

.Massimo makes 'new' paper.
Paige concentrates really hard and makes sure there are no holes in the paper.
World Environment Day
We remember how important it is to Recycle, Reuse and Reduce!
Mother Earth
We sing; "He's got the whole world in his hands, he's got the whole world in his hands ................"
We dig holes in the garden for our experiment. We bury some fruit peels, a plastic canister and a tin can.
When we come back to school after the holidays we will dig them up to see what has happened.

Recycling old boxes is fun. We have to plan carefully and make sure that the structures don't fall over.

We recycle old tins to make a Father's Day gift.
We recycle plastic bottles to make bird feeders.
It is really hard work cutting plastic and punching holes.
We spent time discussing bird feeders and decided that they must:
- be able to hang in a tree.
- be pretty to make the birds want to come to them.
- be able to hold seeds or food for the birds.
- have a place for the bird to sit.
Some children even added toys to their bird feeders.
Michael made a slide for the birds.
We practise writing 'p' on the carpet.
Mrs. Webber is very imPressed with Aidans 'p'.
He is very Proud of himself!

Fun in the fantasy garden!
The Grade 00's are kind to share their
dress-up clothes with us.
J Our broad smiles say it all!
Alyssa celebrates her 6th birthday at school.
Ff for Firefighter Fred!
Luke and Harriet slide down the fireman's pole.
